Trainer Margarida Couto

Margarida Couto has been a clinical psychologist since 1993. She is also an EMDR and BSP therapist, Psychodramatist trainer and supervisor with a vast experience acquired both at her own private practice office in Coimbra and at governmental Institutes in Portugal, where she has worked (Institute on Drugs and Drug Addiction). She is an MSc in Drug Addiction and Psychosocial Pathologies and a PhD student in Biomedical Sciences and a member of the Board of Directors of the Portuguese EMDR Association.

Margarida is currently an Assistant Professor (she teaches Psychology and Clinical Psychology), and has presented papers at scientific meetings in various different countries (Portugal, Spain, England, Holland, Mexico, Canada, Germany).

In the last few years she has been introducing and developing the Brainspotting in Portugal, where she is the coordinator of the training. Margarida has founded the Portuguese Brainspotting Association of which she is President of the Board.
